Mark Zavanelli has over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry, specializing in quantitatively based investment strategies. He joined ZPR Investment Management, Inc. as President in October 2011.
From 1998 through 2009 Mark Zavanelli worked at OppenheimerFunds, a mutual fund company. By the end of his tenure there he was the Co-Team Leader for the Main Street Team, a group which managed over $16 billion in equity mutual fund assets. He was also a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Main Street Fund (MSIGX), Main Street Opportunity Fund (OMSOX) and Main Street Small Cap Fund (OPMSX) in addition to supervising a staff of portfolio managers, analysts, and traders.
For his work on the Main Street Small Cap Fund Mark was named to the Barron’s Top 100 Managers List for six consecutive years (2003-2008). He also received the Standard & Poor’s/BusinessWeek Excellence in Fund Management Award for 2006.
Mark Zavanelli is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of several professional organizations, including the Chicago Quantitative Alliance and the Society of Quantitative Analysts. He received a B.S.E degree (Cum Laude) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992.
